You can now digitally buy “The Night” (EP) on iTunes! Check your local iTunes Store!
The worldwide availability might come as a surprise for everyone, as mc.net recently posted the following statement: “We unfortunately have to inform you that due to our licensing deal with Warner Music we can’t offer these tracks for download in the following areas: Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Scandinavia, and various East European countries. However, the EP will be available for download on iTunes to the rest of the world from midnight local time on the 13th of May.“.
Have you ever wondered what would happen if one your very beloved Spice Girls would hook up with one of London’s most iconic nightlife personalities? Wonder no more. Check out the brand-new “Sunrise,” a collaboration between Melanie C and Jodie Harsh, a famed British promoter who also knows how to work the soundboard as a gifted DJ. The two pals worked together on a very special EP that features three brand-new collaborations including “Set You Free,” Walk Away” and the flaming hot “Sunrise” that you can hear on this blog exclusively for the very first time. Tapping into the sound of the London underground, it’s a flaming hot dance-pop banger that is ruled by big room synths, a chunky club beat and Melanie C’s mightily perfect pop vocals. (Jodie Harsh & Melanie C “The Night” EP will be released in the U.K. on Sunday.)
Taking things a little slower, the final song narrates the organic end to a relationship and the weight it brings off your shoulders…a sigh of relief and a ‘change of atmosphere’. Mid-tempo and orchestral, it’s a dramatic ending to the EP with it’s big hip hop drum and a epic build.
Melanie & Jodie Harsh recently revealed they’ll announce more details on the project on Monday, 30 April. But just a few moments ago, Jodie tweeted: “Be sure to grab tomorrow’s Sunday Mirror for the very first details on THE NIGHT - my project with the wonderful Melanie C! @deanpiper :-)”
Also Dean Piper tweeted: “It’s a 3 track EP. Called….drumroll please….The Night. Out on iTunes May 15! Details in the #sundaymirror tom! #melaniec #jodieharsh“.
I know that we’re breaking but we’re not broke Maybe there’s no point, no way, no hope It would be too easy to throw this away But it’s too soon, too soon, to be too late
We were wasted, now we’re sober
Try to think that we’re hungover
All day, always
If we could put the pieces back
Would we have, what we had again?
I wanna feel it again
Cos we were flyin’ without a fear of falling
Never second guessed, we were all in
We should give up, we should give up, we should give up
But it’s too soon to be too late
Gonna keep on fighting, gonna keep trying
I know that we’re breaking but we’re not broke Maybe there’s no point, no way, no hope It would be easy to throw this away But it’s too soon, too soon, to be too late
Too soon to be over
Too soon to get off
Too soon to surrender
I don’t care how long we’re running at the speed or crawling
Trying to restart but we’re stalling
Never give up, never give up, never give up
Cos it’s too soon to be too late
Gotta keep on fighting, gotta keep trying
I know that we’re breaking but we’re not broke Maybe there’s no point, no way, no hope It would be too easy to throw this away But it’s too soon to be too late
I know that we’re breaking but we’re not broke
Maybe there’s no point, no way, no hope
It would be too easy to throw this away
but it’s too soon, too soon, to be too late [...]
